Configuring ShoreGear and ShoreTel switches Manually

ShoreGear switches and ShoreTel switches have different terminal settings when configuring with straight serial cable between a personal computer and the switch.

The following ShoreGear switches have the following terminal settings:

SG40/8
SG60/12
SG120/24
SGT1
SG24a
SG30
SG30BRI
SG50
SG50v
SG90
SG90BRI
SG90BRIV
SG90v
SGT1k
SG220T1
SG220T1a
SG220E1
SGE1k


Apply these values to the terminal settings:
* Speed: 19.2 Kbs
* Data bit: 8 bits
* Stop bit: 1
* Parity: No parity
* Flow Control: None

The following ShoreTel switches have the following terminal settings:

ST50A
ST100A
ST100DA
ST1D
ST2D
ST200
ST500
ST24A
ST48A

Apply these values to the terminal settings:
* 115,200 bps for ShoreTel ST Voice Switches or 19,200 bps for ShoreTel SG Voice Switches
* 8 data bits
* no parity
* one stop bit
* no handshake
