Managing ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility

ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility extends voice and unified communications (UC) applications to mobile devices. Mobility users can leverage a single converged device for both business and personal communications and can access desk phone and UC capabilities on their smart phone or other mobile device.

If you are a Decision Maker or Phone Manager, you can activate ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility for your account, enable Mobility for users on your account, and view Mobility settings for your account from the ShoreTel Connect Portal.

NOTE: ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility is included in the Standard or Advanced CLOUD profile types. Users must have one of these profile types in order to use ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility.

Activating ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility

Once you activate ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility from the ShoreTel Connect Portal, you can enable ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility for users. However, you must first contact ShoreTel Connect support to complete ShoreTel Mobility activation.

  1. Log in to the ShoreTel Connect Portal.
  2. On the Phone System menu, click Add-On Features.
  3. To the right of ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility, click Activate.

    The ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility Settings dialog box appears.

  4. Under ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility Configuration, do the following:
    1. In the Voicemail Access Number field, type the 10-digit phone number that you dial to access your business voicemail system.

      If you do not know this number, contact your Phone Manager or ShoreTel Connect Support.

    2. In the Access Number list, select the number to use when making a call on the cellular network;.
    3. If any of the following fields are not already populated, select the indicated number in the corresponding list:
      • Reverse Dial Number - 6465697332
      • Handover Number - 6465697333
  5. Under Email Notifications, select the Send email notification check box to send an email notification to all ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility users on the account any time changes are made to the Mobility settings.
  6. Click OK to save the settings.
  7. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the purchase.
  8. Contact ShoreTel Connect Support to complete ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility activation.

Viewing ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility Settings

The following information is displayed in the ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility Settings dialog:

To view ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility settings:

  1. Log in to the ShoreTel Connect Portal.
  2. On the Phone System menu, click Add-On Features.
  3. To the right of ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility, click Settings.

    The ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility Settings dialog box appears.

Editing the ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility Settings

Only ShoreTel Connect Support can update the Mobility settings for your account. However, you can choose whether or not to send an email notification to all Mobility users on your account when changes are made to the Mobility settings.

Sending Email Notifications

You can choose to send email notifications when changes are made to the ShoreTel Mobility settings.

  1. On the Add-On Features page, to the right of ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility, click Settings.

    The ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility Settings dialog box appears.

  2. Under Email Notifications, select the Send email notification check box to send an email notification to all ShoreTel Mobility users on the account any time changes are made to the Mobility settings.
  3. Click OK to save the settings.

Managing ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility Users

You can manage ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility for users on your account in the following ways:

Viewing Users with Access to ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility

You can view a list of users that have ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility enabled. The following information is displayed on the ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility page:

To view Users with access to ShoreTel Connect Mobility:

  1. Log in to the ShoreTel Connect Portal.
  2. On the Phone System menu, click Add-On Features, and then click Manage to the right of ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility.

    The ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility page is displayed.

  3. To filter the list, do one of the following:
    • Type your filter criteria in the search field on the toolbar.
    • Type your filter criteria under the appropriate column heading.

Enabling ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility for a User

Once ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility is activated for your account, you can enable Mobility for individual users within your organization.

  1. On the ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility page, click Add on the toolbar.

    The Add ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility Users dialog box appears.

  2. In the Select Users panel, do the following:
    1. To search for a user, type the name, number or extension of the user in the Name or Number/Extension field.
    2. Select the check box next to each user you want to enable ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility for.
    3. Click Next.
  3. In the Summary panel, verify the displayed information and then click Finish.
  4. When prompted, click Yes to confirm.

Disabling ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility for a User

  1. On the ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility page, right-click the user you want to disable ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility for and then click Disable ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility.
  2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm that you want to disable ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Mobility for the selected user.
