Managing Phones

If you are a ShoreTel Connect CLOUD Decision Maker or Phone Manager, you can view a list of phones and add phones for a particular location or your entire organization using the MAC address.

The following information is displayed for each phone on the Phones page of the ShoreTel Connect portal:

To view a list of phones:

  1. Log in to the ShoreTel Connect Portal.
  2. On the Phone System menu, click Phones.
  3. To filter the list, do one of the following:
    • In the list above the toolbar, select the location to view.
    • Type your filter criteria in the search field on the toolbar.
    • Type your filter criteria under the appropriate column heading.

Adding a Phone

  1. Log in to the ShoreTel Connect Portal.
  2. On the Phone System menu, click Phones.
  3. Click Add Phone on the toolbar.

    The Add Phone dialog box is displayed.

  4. In the Main panel, under Phone, do the following:
    • In the MAC Address field, type the MAC address of the phone.
    • In the Location list, select the location for the user.
    • In the Model list, select the phone model.
    • In the Profile list, select the profile to assign the phone to.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In the Confirmation panel, verify the displayed information.
  7. Click Finish to add the new phone.

Editing Phone Details

You can edit the location and phone model for a MAC address; you can also change the profile that the phone is assigned to.

  1. Log in to the ShoreTel Connect Portal.
  2. On the Phone System menu, click Phones.
  3. In the MAC Address column, click the MAC address of the phone you want to edit details for.

    The Edit Phone dialog box is displayed.

  4. In the Main panel, under Phone, edit the phone details as desired, and then click Next.
  5. In the Confirmation panel, verify the displayed information.
  6. Click Finish to add the new phone.

Removing a Phone

  1. Log in to the ShoreTel Connect Portal.
  2. On the Phone System menu, click Phones.
  3. Select the check box next to the phone you want to remove.
  4. Click Remove Phone on the toolbar.
  5. Click Yes to confirm that you want to remove the phone.
