Using the ShoreTel Connect Portal

The ShoreTel Connect Portal is the web-accessible portal used by administrators and users to access and manage various functions of an organization's phone system.

Accessing the ShoreTel Connect Portal

Your ShoreTel Connect Portal access depends on the role you are assigned.

Authorized Contacts - Log in with your email address and ShoreTel Connect Portal password to access the Organization, Phone System, Team, and Support menus.

Team Managers - Log in with your email address and ShoreTel Connect Portal password to access the Team and Support menus.

Users - Log in with your email address and ShoreTel Connect Portal password to access the Home and Support menus.

To access the ShoreTel Connect Portal:

  1. Open a web browser on your computer.

    NOTE: IE9 is not supported for use with the ShoreTel Connect Portal.

  2. Type one of the following in the address bar, depending on your account location, and then hit Enter:
  3. In the Email Address or Phone Number field, type your email address.
  4. In the Password field, type your ShoreTel Connect Portal password.
  5. Click Log In.

Using the ShoreTel Connect Portal, you can access and manage various functions of your phone and phone system depending on the role you are assigned.

Viewing ShoreTel Connect Portal Pages

Many of the pages within the ShoreTel Connect Portal use a tabular format. These pages allow you to customize your view of the data on the page. You can change the order in which the columns are displayed, and you can choose which columns to show and which columns to hide.

NOTE: When you export data from any of these pages, all columns of data are exported including hidden columns.

  1. Right-click in the column headings row.
  2. Do the following:
    • Clear the check box next to each column you want to hide.
    • Select the check box next to each column you want to show.

Searching ShoreTel Connect Portal Pages

Most pages within the ShoreTel Connect Portal provide the ability to search for information on the page using three different methods:

Using Column Search

You can search for data within a specific column.

Using Single-Value Page Search

You can search all columns for a single value.

Using Multiple-Value Page Search

You can search all columns for multiple values.

  1. Click next to the search field on the toolbar.

    The multiple values search bar appears under the column headings.

  2. Type your search criteria in the Multiple values search field.

    Separate values with a comma.

  3. Click Search.

    All rows that contain data matching the selected criteria are displayed.

Saving a Search

You can save a multiple-value page search. When you save a search, the data on the page is filtered to display the results of the search each time you return to the page.

NOTE: By default, the multiple values search bar is hidden when you first access a page. The data is filtered according to the saved search even though the search bar is not visible.

To save a search:

  1. Click next to the search field on the toolbar.

    The multiple values search bar appears under the column headings.

  2. Type your search criteria in the Multiple values search field.

    Separate values with a comma.

  3. Select the Save current search check box.

Editing a Saved Search

  1. Click next to the search field on the toolbar.

    The multiple values search bar appears under the column headings.

  2. Edit or delete the search criteria in the Multiple values search field.
  3. Click Search.

    All rows that contain data matching the new criteria are displayed.

  4. To save the new search, clear and then reselect the Save current search check box.
