SIP Trunks with Media Proxy Capacity for Connect HYBRID Sites
To enable ShoreTel Connect HYBRID Sites, you must allocate SIP trunks with media proxies enabled on one or more switches in ShoreTel Connect ONSITE. To avoid contention for media proxy resources, for certain switch models (as shown in the table below) ShoreTel recommends that you dedicate all of the SIP trunks on these switch models to Connect HYBRID Sites.
You must explicitly enable media proxies for SIP trunks that will be used for Connect HYBRID Sites:
Switches of the following types should have the port resources dedicated to the SIP tie trunk configured to be of type "SIP Trunk with Media Proxy: 30, 30BRI, 50, 50V, 90, 90V, 90BRI, 90BRIV.
Analog ports on the SG220T1A and ST100DA should be configured as "SIP Trunk with Media Proxy".
Digital ports on the T1/E1 switches should be assigned to "n SIP Trunks with Media Proxies".
The maximum SIP trunk with media proxy capacity for each model is shown in the following table. This is the maximum number of SIP trunks each switch supports for Connect HYBRID Sites. If a voice switch is used for other purposes, then the capacity for Connect HYBRID Sites would be less than this value.
